TP McLean Sports Journalism Award Finalists Announced

The New Zealand Sports Journalists Association Inc has announced the
finalists for the 2008 Sir Terry McLean National Sports Journalism
Awards sponsored by SPARC.
A record number of 247 entries were received across the 12 categories. One of the category winners will go on to take the Supreme SPARC Sports Journalist of the Year title plus a cash prize of $2,000.
The winners will be announced at the TP McLean Awards Dinner at the Spencer on Byron Hotel in Auckland on Friday, November 28.
Four previous supreme award winners are among this year’s finalists – Dylan Cleaver ( Herald on Sunday), Marc Hinton (Fairfax Media), Andrew Cornaga (Photosport), and last year’s winner Tony Smith ( The Press).
